We are a team of high school students ranging from different schools across the country, who are all interested in STEM and coding. Our project was born from a simple anecdote shared when the team met for the first time. Pranavi joked about how they had a printer that had been broken for years in their closet because they did not know how to properly dispose of it. This left our team to do some research. We found out that e-waste represents 2% of America's trash in landfills, but it equals 70% of overall toxic waste. Even worse, only 12.5% of e-waste is currently recycled. We decided to change that with our project: eCycle. Go to our homepage to find out more!
